Updates from the Manager, January 7, 2017

Dear Aiken Players:

I am happy to announce some changes to polo in Aiken, which we hope will improve the polo experience for all. The Aiken Polo Club and the Wagener Polo Club are now working together to expand the options for polo players, plan tournaments, practices and the environment for polo. We are also working with New Bridge to coordinate polo among all three clubs. Our hope is to bring a stronger community within the sport and still retain the heritage of each club.

To aid the coordination, I have agreed to work for the Aiken and Wagener clubs as the polo manager, working with Haley Bryan at New Bridge. We will explore ways to get you, the members of all three clubs, more polo, and to coordinate the tournaments as much as possible to support your interests to play and enhance your experience in Aiken.

We’ve already begun meetings and planning to build on the great legacy of polo here, and to find ways to solve many of the requests we’ve heard in the last year. We want to make Aiken the place to play in Spring and Fall, as we have many of the best tournaments and facilities on the east coast.

Please let us know if we can help you in anyway or if you have any suggestions that could help. We are looking forward to a great spring of polo here in Aiken and I will work for you the best I know how. Feel free to reach out to me at any time.

Thanks!

Billy Raab
